Last Day…Out of School Uniform

Dear parents,
 
I hope this email finds you well.
This is to announce that Wednesday the 14th   of June is an ‘Out of School Uniform Day’ since it’s a tradition that students come out of school uniform on the last day of school.

Annual Production Reminder

Please consider the following:

  • Students will arrive at school aby 3:30 pm.
  • We will take time to eat and change before leaving for the Marque at 4:30 pm

Please pack the following for the students:

  • A bag for the following
  • Bottle of water
  • Food for before the show (to be eaten at 3:30)
  • Some food to be eaten at the show (sandwich, etc.)

Once the production is over, the students will meet the parents outside. They will have their belongings with them.

 

Annual Production

Dear Parents,

Please keep the following dates in mind:

  • Wednesday, May 24th: Final rehearsal for Spring Concert on the Marquee Stage in CFC. Students will leave school at9:00 a.m. and will be back around 1:00 p.m. kindly, make sure your child is wearing proper school uniform and gets an extra packed lunch and water.
  • Thursday, May 25th: No school in the morning; students must arrive to school at 3:30 p.m. (by school’s buses)Students should get enough food and water because the concert will end at 9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 28th: Day Off.

We kindly ask that if you are not planning to send your child for the annual production on Thursday the 25th of May, please inform the office know as soon as possible.

WEEK 33: May 14-18

This week in Math, we learned how to identify three & two dimensional shapes.  Next week, we will learn how to identify and name equal parts of circles and rectangles as halves, thirds, and fourths.

This week in ELA we worked on reading independently while reviewing grade 2 comprehension standards. Next week in ELA we will continue working on independent reading skills and writing opinion pieces.

In science, we’ve been working on our mini science fair experiments. However, will continue to finalize the projects, then move to chapter 10 and learn about energy.

In social study, we will be moving to learn how to save money by designing creative money management plans. We will also learn about needs and wants, income and expenses.

WEEK 32: May 7-11

This week in Math, we continued to practice interpreting data from tally charts, picture graphs, and bar graphs to solve different problems.  Next week in Math, we will learn how to identify three & two dimensional shapes.

This week in ELA we started to study our end of the year spelling list. We also started to work on some independent reading and finishing up some of our writing pieces. Next week we will continue to finish up our last writing pieces, work on a readers theater, and continue some independent reading.

In science, we’ve been working on our mini science fair experiments. However, will continue to finalize the projects, then move to chapter 10 and learn about energy.

In social study, we will be moving to learn how to save money by designing creative money management plans. We will also learn about needs and wants, income and expenses.

WEEK 31: April 30-May 4

In ELA, last week, we reviewed how to describe characters and how they respond to events in a story. We also studied homophones and begin to write a compare and contrast piece. Next week in ELA, we will complete the compare and contrast writing. We will also begin our end of the year reading assessments.

This week in Math, students learned how to interpret data from tally charts, picture graphs, and bar graphs and used that information to solve different problems.  Next week in Math, we will continue to practice how to interpret data and place it on graphs and charts to reference.  In addition, we will be able to identify three-dimensional shapes.

In social studies, we will start our last chapter that will present more about the marketplace, producers, consumers, goods, services, and different businesses.

In Science, We will be working on our mini science fair enterprises, this week. Children will get to introduce and explore different experiments and projects to cover the main objectives they learned about this year! Lots of fun is waiting ahead! 🙂
